How to Travel with Your Pet

Have you ever traveled with your pet? Have you ever considered it? Some may think right off the bat that traveling with your dog or cat is just an extra burden. It's quite the contrary.  It is much easier than perceived and more fun to have your pet as your newest travel companion.

Dog Car Seat

One of the most important things you’ll need is clean bottled water in the car while traveling with your pet. Hydration is essential to keeping your pet healthy and happy. Also, bringing along your pet’s regular food will avoid any stomach upset later.

Pack a doggie travel bag that includes; travel papers, medications, shot/vaccines records, food, bowl, leash, a waste scoop, plastic bags, grooming supplies, a pet first-aid kit and a favorite toy or pillow to give your pet a piece of home.

Safety in the car can be an issue when you are traveling with your pet. I don’t know about you but every time I bring my pup with me she is on my lap within 2 minutes of the trip.  This is not only dangerous it is very distracting. A dog car seat is a great option for you and your pet to have a safe and enjoyable ride.

A dog car seat is a dog safety product that will restrain and secure your pet to one area in your vehicle.  Most dog car seats have a latching system that attaches to your dog’s safety harness.  The dog car seat is secured using your vehicles seat belt system. This ensures that your dog will stay in the dog car seat and not become a distraction to you as a driver.

Dog car seats are made with plush material that dogs love to cradle into.  Think of it as a dog bed for the car.  Your pet will comfortably lay in their dog car seat while you travel cross country.  The cover on the dog car seat can be taken off and machine washed for easy cleanup or repeated use.

These different tips and products will ensure that your pet has a safe and fun travel experience.
